How many angels are there? The only safe answer is "many."

In the Bible we know that no one has seen or can see God (1 Timothy 6:15

However, when three angels appeared to Abraham, the story says

"The Lord appeared to Abraham" (Genesis 18:1).

Sometimes the angels strengthen and guide those who have already chosen to follow
God. It can give many examples. Abraham was
blessed by an angel because he had obeyed God (
Genesis 22:15-18). Similarly, an angel was with Jacob (Genesis 31:11 -
13).

Angels of God are described as:
Are not all angels spirits dedicated to divine service, sent to help those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1:14)
All angels were created by Jesus:
For through him [Jesus] were created all things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers, principalities or authorities all things were created through him and for him. (Colossians 1:16)
The Lord Jesus created all the angels. This includes even the archangel Michael, which some cults wrongly think is Jesus!
Angels are powerful spiritual beings:
God is just, will pay back trouble to those who trouble you. And to you who suffer, give relief, as well as to us. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. (2 Thessalonians 1:6,7)
While the angels, although in strength and power to overcome, such beings do not speak against any accusation insulting in the presence of the Lord. (2 Peter 2:11)

Dear reader, vitally important that you worship only the true living God. NEVER an angel or other servant of God would lead him never to worship an angel, to any person or the creation itself.

Angels can guard the righteous:
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11)
Angels are sent by God to free:
My God sent his angel and he shut the mouths of lions. I have done no harm, because God knows I am innocent. I have not done anything bad against His Majesty! (Daniel 6:22)
But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out. (Acts 5:19)
God executes His trial by the angels:
When launched against them the fierceness of his anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility: an army of destroying angels! (Psalm 78:49)

Therefore, there is an incredible need to know the Bible as a safeguard against such. The end result of angelic visitation to Cornelius was Biblical salvation for him and all of your home!
Angels are immortal:
Nor can
die, they will be like the angels. They are children of God because they take part in the resurrection. (Luke 20:36)
An angel of God alone catch Satan, the great deceiver, and he cast into the abyss during the 1000 year reign of Christ:
