Because God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of self .- 2 Timothy 1:7
What would you think if I told you you can live without fear? "I believe
if I said that despite what he saw on the news this
night, you might be perfectly at peace? Impossible? "Fictitious?
No!
The fear is not just a reaction to external circumstances,
is also a spiritual force. Begins within, and is very
destructive. In fact, fear is the main weapon of Satan. He
acts in response to fear and how God acts in response to faith.
Satan uses fear to oppose God's promises.
An excellent example of this is found in Matthew 14 when Jesus
invited Peter to come to Him on the water. "But [Peter]
feeling the strong wind, he was afraid and began to sink. Then he shouted:
? Lord, save me!" (Verse 30).
What gave Peter the confidence to walk on water? His faith in
the Word of Jesus. What caused Peter begin to sink?
He felt the strong wind and was filled with fear. It was the wind that
beat Pedro, but the fear of the wind. He looked at
circumstances, gave way to fear and the result was defeat. If Peter
had kept his eyes on Jesus, his faith would never wavered. All
the roar and hiss of the world would not have taken the course.
Faith grows when we meditate on the Word of God. Fear grows
when we meditate on the lies of Satan. Such meditation, fearful
called "concern." Do not do it!
The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. Use it to fight against Satan
whenever he comes against you. Raise your shield of faith and
turn off all the fiery darts of the wicked. Speak words of faith and fear will
